Happy Holidays everyone, and I hope that the entire Senior Project class is enjoying their break. As for me, I enjoyed my 18th Birthday/ Christmas, and i must say it was one of the best days ever. Ive posted pictures of some of the highlights of my day. The first being when i put my birthday outfit on, I felt so beautiful, and it was then that I realize I am truly becoming a woman. The second photo is of me at my step-fathers gravesite. I smiled, cried, and remembered my father and what a great man he was ; he would be so proud to see where I a now. I couldnt ask for anything ore, it was definiatly the best present of y day. Now im looking forward to New Years, lets see what 2011 brings.

It's Just Not The Same

After reading a recent article in the New York Times, about an artist known as Tank, the quote," But even R&B how it used to be isn’t how it used to be", is surged in my mind. In the article he expresses how his love for music has changed over the years because it isn’t the same. For instance, he is one of the most committed classicists, writing tidy songs about suffering wounds in search of love, but now days the music tends to lean more towards sex, drugs, and money. It’s become so intense that Tank is thinking about becoming a rapper, Yes a Rapper! I can truly relate though, because year after year new artist come out and it seems as if the morals of music have no meaning anymore. I can remember when music made you feel and imagine, but today music makes female want to go caught a man or shake their butts and a man just lust over women. So I hope people think about that when they turn the radio on, personally I listen to 107.9, the oldies.

 Great example of music...

Quagmire :
1579, from obsolete quag "bog, marsh" + mire. Quag is a variant of M.E. quabbe "a   marsh, bog," from O.E. *cwabba "shake, tremble" (like something soft and flabby). Extended sense of "difficult situation, inextricable position" is first recorded 1775.
                    Cited from -http://dictionary.reference.com/etymology/quagmire

The term quagmire not only represents the funny character from the popular t.v show Family Guy, but it also stands for and represents a bad situation and/or complex problem. For example, the picture show the struggle that the people in afgan are going through.

Positivity & Motivation

Well, there's a first for everything and I must say this blog is a first. I'm working on getting my sponsor through my busy work schedule leaving messages and hoping for that exciting call back. This process of Senior Project helps to develope communication skills and futher more life lessons of how to prepare and organize. Also, to address the photo it signifies the art of music and the depth it takes to truly appreciate the warmth and complexity of it. Music to me is life and what helps me deal with situation that i have no control over. I am an artist with much to show and prove, and throughout this program you will gain a further insight on who a am as a person and how my music influences me. I must say I'm an open canves.
